World Rabies Day

Today is World Rabies Day! It is celebrated annually to raise awareness about the world’s deadliest infectious disease and to enhance prevention and control efforts worldwide.

In many areas of Asia, where it is still endemic in both urban and rural areas, rabies is a serious problem. As we known, rabies is spread to people from the saliva of infected animals especially through a bite. The most visible animal is the dog. 

As we celebrate World Rabies Day today, AVO recommends you be vaccinated against rabies. If you have the pets, highly advised you be vaccinated and regularly check your pets with AVO rabies test kits at home.
