Knock Knock Knock !!!
Be careful your dogs can get Knocked out.
If they don't get enough water, dehydration in dogs can lead to kidney failure and even death in extreme case. Since dogs cannot tell you, they can show signs of dehydration.
Excessive panting
Lethargy
Sunken, dull eyes
Dry nose
Dry mouth
Thick saliva
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Wobbly feet
Loss of appetite
Rapid heartbeat
Dehydration in dogs can also caused by vomiting, diarrhea, liver disease, kidney disease, fever, not eating or drinking enough and hormonal conditions like Diabetes mellitus.
As there are so many possible underlying conditions, the right/accurate diagnostic is especially important.
If you see your dog has any signs of dehydration, offer them a small amount of water and take a visit to the vet immediately.
Moderate to severe dehydration is treated by fluid therapy, either subcutaneously or intravenously. This is done carefully under the supervision of a vet, because if you rehydrate a dog too quickly, it can cause additional health problems.
Dear Pet Owners, always make sure your pets have fresh and clean water inside the house and bring a bottle of water for your canine friends when going outside.
