Thailand's FDA updates the regulatory requirements for COVID-19 test agents
In September 2024, the Food and Drug Administration of Thailand (TFDA) notified the update of the regulatory framework for COVID-19 test agents. These updates repeal previous specific regulations on COVID-19, aiming to align Thailand's standards with local and international risk assessments.
According to the new regulations, COVID-19 test agents are now classified according to their risk categories (category 2), thus simplifying the process and expanding the scope of use. We created a comparison table to show the changes:
